    Staff was friendly and helpfull.Dishes were filled up as needed & tables were always cleared.Being a dessert person I needed more time to taste everything.But overall a 5 star rating.

    We had a lovely experience at On the Square (The Capetonian) last Saturday. The staff were very professional and warm. The food was amazing. I especially enjoyed the variety of the starches and vegetables. Their fried rice and stew were divine. The meat was nice and soft. The dessert was the best. I enjoyed the malva and the home-style cooked warm custard :).

    We had an awesome time at your establishment. The food was excellent - the lamb curry was the best I had in ages. But I do feel you could improve on your desserts. The service was also very good and the staff very friendly. I will definitely recommend you to other people.

    Everything was well received. However, as it was the first time for most, they were not aware when they could go and plate. The chaos at the starter table was unorganized. It would have been better organized if people were ushered by the waiter/s, per table set up, which would have prevented the ques at the starter table. Furthermore, the ques led along the mains buffet, so if people opted to do their mains first, it would have been nearly impossible as the people queued alongside it to go to the starter table at the far end. But all in all, the experience was lovely, and the food was delicious. I personally loved the curry and the sides, as well as the malva pudding, was heavenly. Thank you very much for the experience and the friendly and helpful staff.

    very nice place, the venue is beautiful, the seating is spacious,. I think the only part that I do not enjoy is the creamy deserts. malva pudding and custard maybe, the chocolate cake was very nice as well
