A lot of the crowd favourite on the menu like the ribs was not on the menu. Most of the dishes had too little salt and veggies like the butternut was over sweetened. Salads were nice and fresh and there was a good variety of desserts. Many items were not replenished. I don’t like standing in a line for food so I waited until last. There was no sight of the mussels and calamari. I was merely told it’s finished. Two menu items finished in the first round of the buffet. There were 4 or 5 people that waited like I did and only got scraps. Fried fish (two small pieces) dish in white sauce just had bits we had to scratch out. It wasn’t replenished. Feta was finished and one other salad. I didn’t know what was on the plate. It was done. Meat station had overcooked meat. So was the chicken. Curry had almost no salt. The venue was over crowded and people could hardly move in and out of the chairs which is the purpose of a buffet. I have come a good few times over the year since before Burger King was a thought and I a definitely say the quality of the food deteriorated drastically. I never thought I would say that this time around, the Village Buffet’s food was much better having tried them for the first time two months ago.

Capetonian is our number one choice for our functions. Our esteemed emaan's and their spouses enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
