    Regrettably the food was very average relative to price. I had to send the bobotie back as found it inedible - it tasted like boiled venison with egg on top, none of the characteristic flavor profile of Bonnie, it was awful and the venison watery. My daughter’s butternut curry was also bland, and she couldn’t eat her ostrich carpaccio / it was barely smoked - no flavor and cut too thick which was off putting. My calamari starter was the only thing enjoyable. Then we ordered deserts and again - just tasted like catering food - nothing exceptional. The waitress was sweet but we had to keep finding her when we needed anything, just not a great experience, the atmosphere was relaxed and warm but the food deeply disappointing, no effort and felt ‘catered’ and uninspired with little flavor.
