Our Local serving breakfasts and lunch everyday and now also open for snacks, drinks and dinner on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Our menu offers our specialty open toasts as well our famous Shakshuka, Arnold Bennett, burgers and more. For dinner enjoy signature cocktails and new dishes with specials every week. We also are open for private dinner parties and events, booking required and subject to availability.

    Unfortunately we did not know that Our Local Kloof is more focused on lunch instead of dinner. So, for our dinner we thought the menu was a bit simple. For the rest the food was excellent and also compared to the price.

    Yes we did enjoy the evening, the food was great, the waitress obliging, altho service a bit slow. I think perhaps the staff are run off their feet, and have no time to be friendly as in some establishments. We loved the decor with fountain and greenery everywhere. We were delighted to sit at a table next to the fountain, and would not have enjoyed the long table. It is a rather loud tho and difficult to chat which is why we go out together. How you would accomplish noise reduction in the venue is of course a difficult proposition

    The reason why Im giving a 3 star rating on Value is mainly because your barman has no idea how to make a 'margarita' cocktail, the most easiest drink to serve. It was extremely sour, and gave me bad stomach aches afterwards. I went to chat with him and he seems nice. I mentioned that I couldnt taste anything in my first drink - a double shot tequila gives you a little buzz - all I could taste was sour lime - it was horrible. I didnt finish the drink and the waiter didnt charge us, which was kind, but doesnt resolve the issue. There is no excuse for not getting this right - Perhaps have a look at your liquor stock, expiry dates or perhaps invest in your staff with training. Not only will this boost moral, it will add so much value to your establishment .. Training and feeback is such an essential part of this industry. Your food is great and I always recommend your place to my clients, and would like to conitnue to support you. Thank you
