Postcard Cafe is named because of its’ picture perfect views, but also because of the diverse heritage of the owners of Oude Nektar farm, and guests who visit from all corners of the globe. Situated in the peaceful Jonkershoek Valley, home of Stark-Condé Wines, it really is “as pretty as a postcard”.


A variety of savoury and sweet dishes are served - breakfast, lunch, cakes, and desserts. The menu is diverse and dishes draw inspiration from a number of different cuisines.

    Let's start with the positive: The main meals that we ordered were great. Flavorful and well presented. The settings/scenery was stunning. Negatives and really needs attention (Extremely Disappointing): We had a reservation for 12h00. We arrived by the host exactly on time but still we were told that the table will be ready for us in another 15 minutes! Isn't that the whole point of reserving a table? Our waiter and whoever assisted him was very confused in terms of which orders is supposed to go to the tables. I observed the other waiters and most of them had a very serious/stern expression on their faces. Not inviting at all. We ordered the Baked Cheesecake as desert, and it was definitely way beyond its shelf life. It is unfathomable that an establishment of this stature could present it to their patrons. The staff was very accommodating by offering something else on the menu. Bottom line is that the cheesecake should NEVER even have left the kitchen. In some cases, it is unfair expect the waiters to pick up on these things but the fact that the chef didn't is completely unacceptable. I am definitely going to visit again as i believe that the establishment should get the opportunity to better itself based on feedback from patrons, whether it is positive or negative.

    A special family reunion held at your beautiful venue. Thank you for accommodating us and not enforcing the set menu. Thank you to Thabang who looked after us so well and allowed us to be relaxed and just soak up the day and moment. A day none of us will forget.
