Postcard Cafe is named because of its’ picture perfect views, but also because of the diverse heritage of the owners of Oude Nektar farm, and guests who visit from all corners of the globe. Situated in the peaceful Jonkershoek Valley, home of Stark-Condé Wines, it really is “as pretty as a postcard”.


A variety of savoury and sweet dishes are served - breakfast, lunch, cakes, and desserts. The menu is diverse and dishes draw inspiration from a number of different cuisines.

    My family and I have been coming here for many years. Unfortunately, this recent visit will be our last. The food has continued to go down hill the past 6 months or so, but we try again and again hoping to see improvement. My last meal was terrible. A salad drenched in so much dressing the salad leaves were a soggy sopping mess (the manager was great and took it off the bill). my gnocchi was burnt and the mushrooms were rubber. The location is incredible with stunning views and the service is still good but it's not enough to keep us coming back unless the food quality improves greatly.

    I cannot rate it. I was very disappointed. We drove all the way to have coffee and cake, but we were told they only serve cake from 15:00 and we had to have lunch. They told me I missed the information on the email where it states that coffee is only served from 15:00. I checked the emails confirming the booking and nowhere does it state the time. Is it really so much effort to accommodate local clients? Very disappointing. The place was not even full, so it's not like they were missing out on lunch clients.
