    We were disappointed with service and overall menu having had a delicious lunch previously at Glen Carlou. The dessert was a white chocolate fondant which was no white chocolate nor fondant. Chicken liver started were tasteless Very good poached pear and ham starter. Duck main was a bit stringy and dry

    We had the lamb shank as a main course which was delicious. The wines, the tasting experience along with the service by the staff were manjifique, as always! Thanks again to everyone who welcomed and served us, and compliments to the chef.

    Sadly the kitchen had an Autumn menu "off-day". The wine and dessert of boozy tiramisu were delicious, the mushroom soup and chicken livers were tasty but not awesome. The mains were poor - confit duck was very salty, and the lamb shank dish was very bland, lacking a rich sauce. The staff were polite, helpful and attentive.
