    First time visiting. What a lovely restaurant! Amazing views. Good food and very attentive service. My mom and I had the winter menu, which was a very good deal. Chicken liver salad starter - liver was perfectly cooked. Kingklip in a delicious parsley emulsion also perfectly cooked. White chocolate fondant, with a perfect ‘ooze’. Beautiful bread. Cheese croquette amuse-bouche was delicious - could have eaten twenty of them. My teeniest complaint was the confit duck leg… while delicious with a perfect sauce, could have been cooked longer, was not yet falling off the bone as it should have been. Other than that, thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely come again!

    We only sampled the wine as it was too early to pair with food. The wine hostess was excellent. The venue is stunning, boasting fantastic views and even an art gallery showcasing South African artists.

    We had an amazing time at Glen Carlou. Spectacular views, value for money with the winter special and delicious food. A Saturday well spent!

    We were disappointed with service and overall menu having had a delicious lunch previously at Glen Carlou. The dessert was a white chocolate fondant which was no white chocolate nor fondant. Chicken liver started were tasteless Very good poached pear and ham starter. Duck main was a bit stringy and dry
