This legendary exclusive revolving restaurant was officially opened in February 1973. The Roma was born from a concept pioneered by Bartholoeo Ribero, Turi and Gino Leopardi. Now proudly owned by the Reelin Group and managed by the Leopardi brothers. We are proud to say that we are the only genuine revolving restaurant in the southern hemisphere and the 3rd of its kind in the world. Roma Revolving Restaurant also boasts the unique feature, as two others do, of a revolving window and floor area! The restaurant is situated on the 32nd Level of the John Ross House overlooking the whole of Durban and surrounding areas with excellent sea and bay views.

    We loved every minute of our time there. Enjoyed talking to staff who have served there since the restaurant opened. The view was amazing. The food didn't disappoint either.

    This was a great place The owner Gino takes his time with every customer and his staff makes you feel like the only client in the restaurant I will definitely go back all the time

    Fun was had. Was my 2nd time being there. Totally outa this world. I’d like to recommend that url get new wine glasses that are modern/chic/recent make. Even on the display of the tables. The ones existing are too too old fashion for our liking, sorry. Other than that, me and my bestie had a phenomenal time and enjoyed our women’s day and we thank the staff for an incredible time.     Steaks were done perfectly and desserts were beyond divine! Long time staff Gordon, and Tony, make you feel like family. Just a beautiful experience and view.

    Was a wonderful experience and I recommend going when it’s still light so you can appreciate the view. Definitely worth going too
