This legendary exclusive revolving restaurant was officially opened in February 1973. The Roma was born from a concept pioneered by Bartholoeo Ribero, Turi and Gino Leopardi. Now proudly owned by the Reelin Group and managed by the Leopardi brothers. We are proud to say that we are the only genuine revolving restaurant in the southern hemisphere and the 3rd of its kind in the world. Roma Revolving Restaurant also boasts the unique feature, as two others do, of a revolving window and floor area! The restaurant is situated on the 32nd Level of the John Ross House overlooking the whole of Durban and surrounding areas with excellent sea and bay views.

    The staff do everything to ensure an all round excellent experience! Well worth the visit, the food was great, the ambiance was a step back on time, so lovely! The views and the sunset was amazing! Will recommend 👌

    Excellent service. The waiters were highly attentive and quick to remove dishes not in use. The food was delicious The owner and chef described various dishes for our benefit. Highly recommended for special occasions, but prices are surprisingly reasonable, despite the wonderful panoramic view of the city and harbour, Great value for tourists but also perfect venue for locals.     We return every year for my daughter's birthday and it was just as great and the food and view being exceptional. Missed Gino taking orders last night in his usual manner adding extra class to the experience, albeit the lady who did was almost as good but bever had the pen and flick of the note pad mastered yet . LOL
