This legendary exclusive revolving restaurant was officially opened in February 1973. The Roma was born from a concept pioneered by Bartholoeo Ribero, Turi and Gino Leopardi. Now proudly owned by the Reelin Group and managed by the Leopardi brothers. We are proud to say that we are the only genuine revolving restaurant in the southern hemisphere and the 3rd of its kind in the world. Roma Revolving Restaurant also boasts the unique feature, as two others do, of a revolving window and floor area! The restaurant is situated on the 32nd Level of the John Ross House overlooking the whole of Durban and surrounding areas with excellent sea and bay views.

I had booked this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion with loved ones. From the time we entered we were not assisted to be seated at our designated table till about 10 to 15 minutes have past. We did not have any waiter come to us fpr about 45 minutes until one of the part owners had taken our order. Hr did not come check in on us at all. We had not ordered starters because it was past supper time from 19h00 till 20h45 no one had come to us and we had not received our food until we asked another waiter to check in for us. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND AVERAGE FOOD

Good experience overall. The view is beautiful, the atmosphere is really pleasant. The menu is rather expensive though.

Food was absolutely delicious. Group of size people and each one enjoyed their meal. Definitely will return.

I would give the steaks a 5/10, we had better. Desserts were Chateux Gatteux cakes-disappointing! Not even a standard slice, it was half of a slice.

The food 1000/10. First time tasting calamari biagio and it was mouth watering.. i had beef lasagne for main and it was the best. Waiters are kind, i ddnt wait too long for my food, i could have desert because i was too full. Prices are very reasonable. The overall experiance was out of this world. I really felt like i was in ITALY
