This legendary exclusive revolving restaurant was officially opened in February 1973. The Roma was born from a concept pioneered by Bartholoeo Ribero, Turi and Gino Leopardi. Now proudly owned by the Reelin Group and managed by the Leopardi brothers. We are proud to say that we are the only genuine revolving restaurant in the southern hemisphere and the 3rd of its kind in the world. Roma Revolving Restaurant also boasts the unique feature, as two others do, of a revolving window and floor area! The restaurant is situated on the 32nd Level of the John Ross House overlooking the whole of Durban and surrounding areas with excellent sea and bay views.

    Excellent experience. I had the ravioli it was delicious however the portion was a little small

    Really been a long time since I was so impressed by a restaurant, I will definitely be back! Food was amazing, staff were amazing, absolutely excellent!

    Amazing food and location. Who’s your server - no one knows….waited a full revolution (according to the menu that’s 60 minutes) just to have order taken. Then waited another 40 minutes after we finished out food for anyone to notice us but no one did because service fees is included so no need to worry about us in the corner. 2,5 hrs later for a salad starter and main meal. The service was so poor it just ruins how amazing this place is.
