    Hi A beautiful setting which could be an amazing repeat visit spot if the food was more inspiring. I ordered the beef medium - it arrived very rare. I asked for this to be redone and it was returned to me at the right temperature but with cold chips and sauce. My partner ordered the salmon which unfortunately although well-cooked had bones (5) which he needed to remove. How sad.

    What a nice surprise! We loved the attention, food, and ambiance of this little gem. We will definitely go back for a different experience. We did the chocolate and wine pairing and for lunch, we decided on the lamb shank, for desert we had their take on tiramisu, it was heavenly!

    I had the pleasure of dining at Roots, a charming bistro nestled within the picturesque Dunstone wine estate, this past weekend. The establishment exudes elegance and sophistication, boasting an adjacent art gallery that adds to its allure. The service was exceptional – attentive, efficient, and thorough, without being overly intrusive. The culinary experience was truly sublime, reflecting the owners' Belgian heritage through a thoughtfully crafted menu and beverage selection. Standouts included the delectable Bitterballen, succulent oysters, and rich Belgian beer. We had the Beef burger and lamb chank, expertly cooked to our liking. Kudos to the talented team at Roots for a truly unforgettable experience. I eagerly anticipate my next visit!
