Set in our courtyard, the Waterford Estate Restaurant is a natural extension of the estate’s long-standing ethos in our deep respect for place, craftsmanship, and time. Guided by the philosophy that great wine begins in the vineyard, the restaurant brings that same sense of terroir-driven expression to the table, offering food that is honest, seasonal, and thoughtfully prepared.
Dishes are designed to echo the character of Waterford’s wines, balanced and elegant, creating a seamless dialogue between kitchen and cellar. Ingredients are sourced with care and intention, favouring local producers and seasonal availability, allowing the menu to evolve naturally throughout the year.
More than a dining destination, the restaurant reflects Waterford Estate's belief in slowing down and appreciating the moment: a space where guests are invited to connect with nature, people, and the provenance of South African wine.

    Beautiful setting, calm and oeaceful. Waiter very friendly and helpful but kitchen was rather slow to produce our food . Fish was delicious perfect ladies size portion but sirloin was disappointing - too rare despite asking forcmecium and tough . Rather expensive clearly feared for foreigners wallets!

    We loved our lunch outing there. Service friendly , food yummy and we sat outside , wow wow , we felt like we were ina villa in Italy - just so beautiful

    Honestly one of the best places you can visit. Not only is the wine and food exceptional, the warm and knowledgeable service is really what amplifies the experience. Thank you so much to Shaun and our amazing and lovely waiter Evan who made this an unforgettable memory!

    Professional, gentile and thoroughly detailed reservation experience. Couldn’t have been better. Food was disappointing - I had the French onion soup which was literally 2 mm of broth in the bowl topped with caramelised onions. The foccachia was a thin sliver of bread brushed with oil. My overseas guest said the carpenter line fish was acceptable. Wine was superb but disappointed to see that the wines at the farm are more expensive than I pay at my local retailers!!!!! Service attentive, but no feedback on the issues raised until we asked.
