    We were entertaining visitors fro Colorado, USA last night at Azure. Our evening was lovely, however the waiter table attention and service from the serving staff was below the required standard for this type of restaurant and their fees. We had cocktails at the table first, then a bit later placed our food order. All the food arrived, yet no one came to get the wine order prior to the food arrival. We had to get the attention of a service waiter to fill wine glasses during the man meal. At the end, it took quite sometime to get the attention of a waiter to action our payment.

    My table booking was handled by Megan who informed me that the only slot available was 1230 and if I was late, I would lose the table. I arrived at 1225 and took my table amongst noisy vacuum cleaners cleaning up from breakfast. During the meal I doubt that there were more than 4 tables occupied until we left at about 1500. The food was disappointing.

    The service and food was outstanding and the team may a fuss of my Mom for her birthday. The location and staff are sublime. However we were quotes R355 per person for a 2 course menu and charged R395; it was awkward and embarrassing to query the bill. The reason for the mark down on value is that we were charged R645 for a 3 course lunch which means to add a simple small dessert to the 2 course menu cost R290 which is extremely expensive for a small plate of a simple dessert. As locals it means we will question if we reason in a hurry.

    Our entire experience was excellent. From the staff at the entrance to the bar staff and restaurant staff, all were friendly, helpful, attentive and allround a pleasure to interact with. The food was great, we were a table of 8 and ordered a variety of items, everyone was very happy with what was served to us. The facilities were clean and in good condition, the views breathtaking with ample parking for all of us. Well done Azure and 12 Apostles, what we experinced yesterday made us proud to be Cape Tonians and very proud South Africans. A special thanks to our server, Nosipho, what an aboslute gem.
