The Blockman is a place to celebrate life. It’s a place where the people who work there know you by name. It’s a place for parties, a place to dine with family and friends. Head Chef & Owner Vassilios Holiasmenos has taken a new approach for the Blockman. With a menu that celebrates all aspects of the animals we use. We cut out the middlemen and focus on the process of breaking down and aging all our meat using the whole animal in celebration of its flavours and textures.

    We had high expectations for our dinner, but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to them. We ordered the Australian Wagyu cooked medium and a well-done rump steak. While the Wagyu wasn’t tough, it was very dry and chewy. It lacked the rich flavour we expected and was difficult to swallow. The rump, although ordered well done, was also exceptionally dry and remained unenjoyable even with the accompanying sauce. For starters, the Camembert tasted burnt, while the calamari was average and didn’t stand out. On a positive note, the service was excellent throughout the evening. The staff were attentive and professional, and the restaurant itself has a beautiful ambience with a stunning setting. Unfortunately, despite the wonderful atmosphere and service, the food was below average and the dining experience was ultimately not memorable.

    I made a reservation for my husband’s birthday about a month in advance. Upon arrival it seemed like there was some mixup with the reservation and we were shown to a small table in the middle of the walkway, to which an extra chair was added when we got there. It was clear that this was not the reserved table. We were sat so close to another table and it was so loud that we could not hear each other or even concentrate on the menu. We were put into such a tight space right next to the main passage where people walked. People kept on bumping into my husband and our table as they walked past. We had a look at the menu, and decided to leave the restaurant before ordering. We love the blockman and have shared many special moments there, and didn’t want this special memory tainted with a subpar experience. We are disappointed because we made a reservation well in advance- which deserves good seating. We did not feel that the reservation was respected.

    We had dinner here on two evenings during our stay, and we were absolutely thrilled both times. The quality of the steaks was simply perfect -cooked to perfection and among the best we have ever had. The service was beyond outstanding: incredibly attentive, warm, and professional. Every single wish was fulfilled before we even had to ask. It is rare to experience such a high level of hospitality and dedication. Saying we were 100% satisfied would be an understatement - 1,000% would still not be enough! Thank you to the entire team for making our evenings so memorable. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

    Service was unmatched. Great ambience, energy and management. Food was delicious with great menu selection and options. Great experience.
