    We use this restaurant a lot and it's always the same - a complete dining experience! From incredible food, gluten free options and friendly knowledgeable staff. It's clear that the word is out as it's a challenge to get a booking!

    The Conservatory is a very special place for a treat, the ambience is amazing and the food quite special but it is pricey especially the wine, one glass costs almost what a bottle does and the service was friendly but not befitting the price. They got one of four drinks orders, incorrect, doubled up on our meal order and didn't bring milk to go with our tea. None of this marred our experience however

    This wasn’t my first visit to the Conservatory, but unfortunately it will most likely be my last. From the moment we arrived, no one greeted us or asked if we needed assistance. We came specifically for the light lunch. Although it starts at 11:00, we arrived at 12:00 and were told to wait outside because the inside wasn’t ready yet. Since it was cold, I asked if we could sit on the couches instead, which we did. We then sat there for 30 minutes without anyone offering us a drink or taking our order. Eventually, I had to get up and ask if we could order some tea. At around 1:00 pm, we were finally seated inside. We ordered two sandwiches, and I was genuinely surprised by how small the portions were. There was barely any filling on the sandwiches, and the chips were so oily that you could literally squeeze them and watch the oil drip out. The service throughout was extremely disappointing. No one came to check on us, ask if we had finished, or offer us the bill. Once again, we had to get up ourselves and pay at the entrance. Overall, the service was shocking, and the food certainly didn’t justify the experience or price. I left incredibly disappointed and won’t be returning.

    We had scones and a cappuccino each. The scones were delicious and the cappuccino great. The staff were friendly and the service good. We were very touched by the box of 3 chocolates they gave us as it was our 44th wedding anniversary.
