    I was informed 2 Saturday's before my booking that the buffet was R250pp by one of your waitresses serving us. Was very surprised to only hear when I got the final account that that was not the price but only deposit. Please ensure your staff is well informed. My guests complained about the Yorkshire Pudding that was over cooked and the gravy being bitter. A pitty as it was my birthday and expected things to be excellent in a 5 star hotel. We sat at table 12. The Food and Beverage Manager should taste and ensure the food going out is of high standard. It can be a very special restaurant if the standard is higher

    We have visited the Conservatory several times in the past and always enjoyed great food. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. The cheese soufflé starter was served on a cold plate and was almost cold when we began eating. One main course, the pork belly, came with a sauce/purée that tasted more like a simple tomato pasta sauce; the crust was pale and completely lacking in flavor. The second main, seared tuna, had good taste but was prepared from a cut full of sinews, making parts of it inedible – not what one expects from a fine dining restaurant. After this experience, we decided to skip dessert.
