Food was okay, nothing spectacular but also nothing really bad. I would've expected more considering the high priced hotel

Friends meeting for a lunch can only be superb when the venue, food, service and setting is perfect. The Conservatory at the Hohenhort Hotel is perfect for this. The staff and in particular the manager are fabulous.

This is not a 5-star experience, more like a 7-star. What a memorable day we had. Everything was out of this world. Even my Canadian guests said they had never experienced this in any other country.

The service when we arrived was non-existent for over 10 minutes (there wwere only 3 table occupied!. I had to go and find someone to help us. The Manager then took over and we had a very good waitron named Grace helpping us for the rest of the evening. There seem to be ongoing staff problems at The Conservatory . We are of the opinion that the food could be much better. My sirloin steak was not a patch on the one at the Hussar or Cattle Baron and was double the price. The risotto that accompanied the kingklip seemed to have been cooked in the microwave and was inedible. The restaurant decor is lovely and there is a good ambience. not the best place to have celebrated my birthday.
