The Kitchen at Lantico Giardino in Lanseria is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am – 4pm.

Following on from the forums extremely popular Farm to Table events, the focus for breakfast and lunch follows the same philosophy: sit under the trees and enjoy delicious, fresh food, using produce that has been sourced from the area. As it is on the cycle route towards the Cradle, it is a lovely outdoor option if you want to pop in for a coffee or breakfast after your morning ride. There is also ample space for kids to ride their bikes.

The menu is updated regularly and offers an array of scrumptious dishes. *Available on request

Lantico Giardino is also the ideal venue space for private functions, such as birthdays, christenings, bridal showers and stork teas to corporate lunches for up to 120 guests.

Venue is tired and poorly maintained. Gardens look nothing like website pictures. Bathrooms dirty. Definitely don’t recommend.

So this time around we visited on Easter Sunday and there was a set menu for R750 per person, I didn’t when booking because their food is usually good. What was not great was even for a set menu the food was too restrictive as you had one option of each item so you were stuck with whatever they presented. The starter was terrible honestly. The was salmon on a bed of lettuce and two cherry tomatoes. As soon as the plate arrived I thought a balsamic reduction would have made a world of difference, even a few mango bit honestly. It was bad zero effort and flavour gave nothing. The main was okay the lamb chops were delicious everyone at the table seemed to enjoy them. The mash was lumpy and the vegetables were just okay. Dessert was delicious I can’t fault that my husband said it was too sweet though. Kids Menu was terrible start to finish and there was no Easter Egg hunt as promised. The venue is still cute and a lovely outdoor experience for a family. So not worth the R750 person we paid but worth going if there’s no set menu on that day.
