    So special to celebrate a birthday at beautiful Gabrielskloof and The Kitchen Door. Everything was just perfect... food, service and extra touches. Thank you for spoiling us once again. Highly recommended.

    What an absolutely delightful restaurant! The views, the decor, the ambiance, the FOOD!! An excellent, creative, well planned MENU!! Only detracting a point because our waiter never stood still at our table, she seemed in a hurry for us to order and ready to move away when we wanted to interact with her. As it was our first visit we obviously had a few questions about the items on the menu. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, so that might just be her manner... but it made us feel a bit rushed. The rest of the service was great though. We loved the food, such a great menu and variety of dishes. I ordered the porridge with poached pears. It was delicious, comforting and perfect for the coldest day of the year. We also ordered the mosbolletjie french toast. It was delicious but left in the pan for a few seconds too long. (Edges were slightly burnt) It was still a lovely experience and we'll definitely be back soon. Our compliments to the chef for an excellent menu. There's nothing on it that i won't be eager to try. To my understanding the restaurant is now open 7 days a week but one cannot make a booking on Dineplan for Mondays.
