Set on the De Meye wine farm in Stellenbosch, The Table hosts beautiful lunches using produce grown by local farmers as well as other ingredients sourced locally such as pastured raised meat, farm eggs, olive oil and cheese. Our three course set menu – abundant and comforting country fare – is served family-style on mismatched antique platters. In summer tables are spread out on the lawn, a tree apiece to give guests a sense of dining privately in some vast garden. In winter dining takes place inside our newly added dining room that looks out onto the lawn and vineyard, warmed up by wood burning fires.

A table shared with wonderful company, good conversation, and home grown food – these are the joys of a meal at The Table.

    Like a timeless and sublime experience out of the movie 'A Good Year'. Lucky to visit on a classic, clear blue sky, warm winter's day. Exceptional food - starters of freshly baked bread , local olives , curried aioli, kingklip paté was my favourite , but maybe because I was starving and just the simplicity of it. Loved the cabbage and apple bake that went with the mains, beef short rib in asian sauce and the fruit crumble dessert with ice cream was too good to be real!

    The best best lunch spot in the cape, the food never disappoints along with great service. It was rainy so we were inside, and which was a nice cosy atmosphere.

    Our lunch was off the charts amazing - all aspects of not. The freshly-baked bread was light and delicious, cheese soufflé starter was a taste and texture sensation. Lamb shank fell off the bone and the veggies were prepared and served in a totally unique way. Can’t recommend The Table highly enough!

    Is there any table better than the Table at De Meye? This is my umpteenth visit - and they never disappoint. This time round - the roasted beetroot was my star dish! Yum! Well done Leigh and Brandon. RR

    10/10 truly the best food experience I have ever had, not to mention the staff and owners being so nice, very intimate experience that ended off with a wonderful book signing by Leigh. Highly recommend this restaurant, will be back for sure.
