Our restaurant offers the perfect environment from which to escape the hustle and bustle of city-life. The light and contemporary space with a double volume ceiling, wood finishes, earthy tones and South African decor, offers panoramic views of Table Mountain, Table Bay, the rolling hills and vineyards. The wooden deck is the perfect setting for sipping on a glass of crisp Sauvignon Blanc whilst the kids are entertained in the play-area. The menu prepared by head chef Tamzyn Ehlers is simple, unpretentious yet sophisticated, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner on selected evenings. The menu is colourful and creative with an elegant flair.

This was our third visit to Dunbanville Hills over 3 or so years - the first 2 experiences were great and based on that, we perhaps had unrealistically high expectations of Tangram. The food was good, but not great; the service was ok - but not great (frankly, the waitress was just not properly trained - management, take note - remember the waiting staff are the brand ambassadors of the restaurant!). Unfortunately one of our party was a little difficult (he wanted vegetables or salad instead of potato) and our waitresses did not 'read' the situation well - a well trained person would have known how to deflect and divert, rather than confront head-on. That is why I would recommend the restaurant, with a slight reservation - it is high end, but not fine dining - there's too many rough edges. Sorry Tangram - I would have loved to give you a well deserved 5 stars all round!

Always a great experience. Only one small suggestion. Go back to the original salmon wreath. It was much tastier before.

It had been a very lovely evening, with excellent food and outstanding service. The views from the terrace are stunning, get a glass bubbly’s before your dinner and enjoy the view and peace.
