At the Vine Bistro, we serve flavour-packed bistro classics with a modern twist, and distinctive, award-winning wines from Glenelly Estate. The interior décor is warm and elegant with a harmonious mix of 19th century chairs, classic Parisian tables, a contemporary cellar and leather banquettes. Outside on the terrace or under the pergola, tables in the dappled shade, a bubbling fountain and plants invite long, lazy afternoons enjoying the picturesque views across the gardens vineyards and Simonsberg mountain. A warm and heartfelt welcome, friendly and attentive service and a sublime dining experience awaits.

We had high expectations for lunch but unfortunately it was really disappointing. The risotto was dry, overcooked and looked like it had been cooked the day before. For the price, the 3 pieces of lamb saddle were pathetic as well as overcooked. Two positives are that our waiter Hilary was great and the Rose superb.

It was an absolute pleasure to have lunch at The Vine Bistro on a cold and rainy day, and to showcase the offerings of this restaurant and winery to our family visiting from upcountry; the lamb was delicious and the Syrah was superb. After lunch we visited the glass museum and marvelled at this unique collection. It was a day well spent. We were wondering about the symbolism of the logo - the rhino with its rider?
