Your Hosts - Matteo Santini & Maurizio Carlo. These Two where born and raised in Italy. Matteo In the Beautiful Bolognia and Maurizio in Fiery Florence. They have both Traveled the world for the past 10 years and Finally decided to Settle in our beautiful Cape Town. Together have taken over THE WOODLANDS EATERY as of the 01 June 2017.

They strive to incorporate authentic Italian cuisine combined with the delicious existing local flavors. We welcome you into their home and hope that you enjoy and feel part of the famiglia

    Probably one the best Italian restaurants in Cape Town. Always consistent, well priced, great quality and service.

    Been living in area for 6 years and so sad i didnt find this place before! Amazing food, amazing! SANGRIA is a must try! Even after 10 years living in Spain i havent tried anywhere that delicious Sangria. The food is other topic, delicious! Stuff super friendly and carrying. It became now our favorite spot to go 😍

    The ravioli was delicious. And my friend’s risotto was spectacular. Good portions. And good service. And lovely gesture of bubbles complimentary as it was my birthday.

    Phenomenal and exceptional does not come close to describing my experience at Woodland Eatery From beginning to end, it was all perfect! For starters we shared lightly fried, mozzarella balls served with a beautiful chutney. For mains, I had the seared tuna with pistachio crust. Wow! The tuna was done to perfection and melted in my mouth. We also ordered the pasta with mushrooms, truffle oil in a light creamy sauce to which we added Italian sausage. This dish was silky, creamy and with each mouthful you wanted more. Heaven on a plate! For dessert we had the panacotta with pistachio sauce. Dessert was lovely, with just the right amount of wobble. Woodlands Eatery has a great wine list with delish affordable wines. Matteo the owner is very friendly. His attention to detail is exceptional. Welcoming diners, and checking on their needs throughout the night. Abby and Eliza, our waitresses were superb too. If you are considering Woodlands Eatery, stop considering and get over there. You won’t be disappointed. I look forward to seeing you soon Matteo.
