Founded in 1991 by Paul & Cherie Loomes, Tightline Fisheries has grown from a humble retail outlet on the Lower South Coast to a thriving business supplying both national and international customers with a variety of the freshest seafood as well as a diverse line of catering products. From our retail outlets to our wholesale division, our crustacean processing plant – the largest of its kind in the Southern hemisphere – to the fleet of Prawn vessels sailing out of Durban and Tuna Pole vessels sailing out of the Cape, we are a family owned and run brand with a heart for service excellence and customer retention.

We are thrilled to introduce the youngest member of our brand family – our Concept Store in the Marine walk shopping center– Salta – in the next couple of weeks. We’ve taken the best parts of all we do to create an exciting multi-purpose retail outlet. At Tightline Salta, customers can browse our retail section, order freshly prepared sushi, enjoy an icy cocktail or perhaps a much-needed coffee, learn how to best fillet a fish, dine in and experience a dish off our Chef’s menu...all within a beautifully designed and appointed space. For those customers who prefer to order in, we have a dedicated delivery team member standing by.

    We had a wonderful dinner at Tightline. The service was excellent and the food fantastic. In particular, we had the rock cod as a main and it was probably the best fish we have ever had!

    Unfortunately we all aired the salt and pepper Calarmari, it was overcooked and chewy. They did not charge us. Excellent service. Except waitron must not remove plates away when people are still eating

    Service was average my boyfriend asked for grilled he got fried I asked for a straw 3 times. For a fancy restaurant that asked what occasion you celebrating you should give a dessert or drink or something. Otherwise don’t ask what you celebrating.
