Founded in 1991 by Paul & Cherie Loomes, Tightline Fisheries has grown from a humble retail outlet on the Lower South Coast to a thriving business supplying both national and international customers with a variety of the freshest seafood as well as a diverse line of catering products. From our retail outlets to our wholesale division, our crustacean processing plant – the largest of its kind in the Southern hemisphere – to the fleet of Prawn vessels sailing out of Durban and Tuna Pole vessels sailing out of the Cape, we are a family owned and run brand with a heart for service excellence and customer retention.

We are thrilled to introduce the youngest member of our brand family – our Concept Store in the Marine walk shopping center– Salta – in the next couple of weeks. We’ve taken the best parts of all we do to create an exciting multi-purpose retail outlet. At Tightline Salta, customers can browse our retail section, order freshly prepared sushi, enjoy an icy cocktail or perhaps a much-needed coffee, learn how to best fillet a fish, dine in and experience a dish off our Chef’s menu...all within a beautifully designed and appointed space. For those customers who prefer to order in, we have a dedicated delivery team member standing by.

To our favourite friends of Tightline Summer is upon us once again and the countdown to the end of this year has begun. We just wanted to drop a little note to say Howzit and whats the plan for the year end. We have some lovely additions to our menu and fresh fish offering, It would be a real treat to spoil you again

    When we arrived our table was not available and we were given a large table as interim , never got the proper table which meant we had difficult time as we were not seated in a proper manner . Ordered drinks and a glass of Rose wine was perhaps the smallest ever in SA , when asked the waitron smiled and just said well that’s the measure , when we ordered a second glass from a different waitron mentioning the first he delivered a much healthier glass ! Noise levels make it very difficult to chat and it was something they need to try and sort , layout also means wind howls around even when they pull down awnings . Food was good , the fresh catches of fish and shellfish presented looked delightful when presented for inspection , they are sold by weight and when we got the quotation we were pretty astounded and reverted to the main menu in a hurry !! So overall nice food , need to look at the physical space improvement and pricing pretty stiff .

    Took my mother for a celebratory birthday dinner. Best decision!! We enjoyed every moment spent there and every bite taken, the staff are all amazing and very attentive. Special thank you to our waiter Vusi, for the excellent service. We thoroughly enjoyed the Muscle Cracker fillets, lobster tails and king prawns. Everything was cooked to perfection and paired with beautiful side dishes. Hats off to the ladies and gentlemen who prepared our meals, absolute rockstars!!! Thank you once again for world class service and taste, will definitely be back soon
