    Did not include crayfish even though that was stated in promo posters, took far too long to get some prawns, felt rushed so slightly under done. Price is great, could rather increase and not run out of stock so frequently. Will come try again end Feb to see if it has improved. Great location and setting is lovely.

    Christmas lunch at the Tradewinds Restaurant was delicious. Highlights were the starters/salads - the Caesar salad was divine! The mains were yummy except for the Brussel sprouts which were very hard and the lack of gravy. Who has a festive lunch with lamb, beef and turkey and no gravy? The only sauce was a cranberry jus which had been on the boil for so long that it was too watery. Also no condiments available like tomato sauce - only salt & pepper. It is beyond me how trained chefs could put together a festive menu and forget gravy!! Desserts were divine especially the Yule Log & the Black Forest cake. No butter available at the salads/breads so I had to ask for butter & stood around with my plate like a spare part for at least 5 minutes while butter was found. This resulted in my companion having already gulped down his starters by the time I got back to the table. Why was there no butter by the breads? These small omissions lead to frustrated guests. Service was a bit haphazard, for example, we had to ask for our complimentary bottle of wine as it did not materialise plus various people kept interrupting our conversation to ask us if everything was alright which became a bit irritating. Also plates started piling up and were not cleared in time. All in all, the 2025 price for Christmas lunch was high at R1350 per person. I am not sure that it was worth it as there is only so much one can eat in a sitting regardless of how delicious it is! Live entertainment was a bit lacklustre - the 2024 singer was much better. The gravy issue was huge for us though so I am not sure that I would book again for 2026...

    Where do I even start? The food was magnificent the ambiance was incredible and the staff make you feel like family. 10000/10 for Tradewinds and their world renowned chefs
