    This could have easily been a 5 star review but Cinderella said “Not on my watch”. What started off as a great evening to celebrate our anniversary turned into the worst night because of a waitress who lacks the basic skills of professionalism. A meal highly rated and one of Verdicchio’s classic meals was labeled/referred to as “a meal for slay queen who come here to shoot content” by a waitress named Cinderella as she was presenting the menu to patrons seated next to us. You may ask yourself why we took offense and felt disrespected by this utterance since this interaction happened at a different table? Drumroll please - well, my partner had just ordered this very same meal and we had taken a video of the meal prep process. So according to Cinderella, my partner is a slay queen. If you don’t know what a slay queen is: 1. it’s not a term of endearment 2. No one in their right mind would want to be referred to as a slay queen and take pride in it 3. it’s derogatory It’s not our first time at Verdicchio hence it was our first option for our 3 year anniversary, we’ve had great service from the waiters to the chef when we came for the wine pairing evenings. It’ll be difficult for us to even consider coming again after this evening, considering how special it was meant to be.

    The main course was excellent, however the dessert was not exactly fresh, a cheesecake that was very dry. I did inform the waitress with little response. I do have one concern that negatively affected an otherwise pleasant evening. I was not informed either by the restaurant or the waitress that a tip is included. When I arrrived home I saw that this was included already in very small print on the bill. Subsequently, I left what I would call an excessive tip through a lack of notification. I'm sure Prudence was very happy, even though I remain unimpressed.
