    1 star overall. I would not recommend this for afternoon tea for 3 reasons: (1) I had wanted my afternoon tea option to be vegan. They had no vegan options and told me I had to specify at least 24hrs before but this was not shown anywhere when I made the booking. This is unusual as other high teas I went to have vegan options by default or at least make you deliberately aware before to specify. They made no effort to try to accommodate me and the waitress disappeared forever after I said I would just do a la carte. I had to order a la carte and my non-vegan companions also did not do high tea in solidarity with me. (2) As mentioned above, the initial waitress left and never came back. Because we had an allocated waitress and she never returned we were completely ignored by other waitresses and managers for an hour while we chatted wirh empty table, glasses and plates. Had to repeatedly try get attention and eventually got someone who came over relucantly. (3) The pricing of the afternoon tea shown on the dineplan menu for this is way below what would be charged, so it seems at least 3 years or more old pricing and can be misleading. Very disappointing experience. We were seated near the coffee and bar area so it was not even like we were out of sight. Having said that the interior design/styling/ambience and a la carte food were good.

    The ambience, location, service and music was 5 star. The staff, particularly Rocky and Zoey, were outstanding. Unfortunately the food was extremely disappointing. There were far too many sweet options, some of which weren't very tasty, and not enough savoury options. No lovely tea sandwiches, no savoury pastries, no mini quiches. The scones were so crumbly that it made them almost impossible to eat. Having had the privilege of experiencing many High Teas all over the world I have to sadly rate this one as one of the worst.

    They served special savory according to my dietary restrictions but the tea options were limited. Sometimes they don’t have it even if it’s on the menu. I have asked for Assam tea and they brought puh arr Chinese tea.They need to learn more about tea.
