In the early 1940s, wine farmers in the Perdeberg region grew dissatisfied with the low prices they were getting for their premium quality grapes. Then an astute farmer named Jan Rossouw suggested they begin producing their own wine and Perdeberg Cellar was born! We pressed our first grapes manually in 1942 and while we have come a long way in terms of technology, we are still renowned for our hands-on approach!

With regards to the wine tasting no one explained the wine to us we just tasted on our own, waiter was very busy so couldn't give much attention to us, staff was very friendly and communicated well and assisted the waiter where necessary overall we had a great experience for our first time visiting the place considering going again

We've attended the Rhonè wine blending experience conducted by Des and she truly made it special. Her passion and expertise shine through, creating a memorable and enjoyable session. We finished off with delicious PB Special pizza, making it a perfect end to the experience. Highly recommended for wine enthusiasts seeking a unique and personalized journey!

The cheeseboard that we ordered was phenomenal! The wine was really good too! Good service and very friendly staff. This was my 2nd visit to Perderberg Wines (I reside in the Eastern Cape) - I will definitely be back again! Good value for money all round:).

Not a good experience at all. Ordered the bitterballens for starter and they were cold on the inside. The waiter who serviced us smelt of smoke.
