In the early 1940s, wine farmers in the Perdeberg region grew dissatisfied with the low prices they were getting for their premium quality grapes. Then an astute farmer named Jan Rossouw suggested they begin producing their own wine and Perdeberg Cellar was born! We pressed our first grapes manually in 1942 and while we have come a long way in terms of technology, we are still renowned for our hands-on approach!

    The person who hosted the wine tasting spoilt the experience. He spoke way too much, but didn't tell us enough about the wines... Instead he gave us too much information about the estate and himself. He was obviously very irritated whenever he felt he wasn't the centre of attention. I don't think he is in the right job. Besides that, the food was great , and the wines are good.

    Food was delicious and wine pairing was excellent. The staff was quick, friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend as a Sunday afternoon lunch!

    The candy floss tasting was such a fun experience! I felt like a little kid again! The service, food and wine was great. Will definitely visit again in future!
