Hazendal’s flagship restaurant, Siyalima, a Zulu name meaning “we are farming”, reflects the estate’s deep-rooted philosophy of honouring the land through fresh, organic and seasonal ingredients cultivated in the Hazendal Harvest Garden.

The carefully curated menu, designed by Culinary Director Phil Carmichael, centres on precise, elegant cooking that highlights the natural flavours, aromas and textures of each ingredient. Thoughtful service complements an extensive wine list curated by Wine Commercial Director Joseph Dhafana, featuring Hazendal wines crafted by Cellar Master Kiara Scott Farmer, alongside a selection of respected local and international producers.

    We had a wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared, and the service was exceptional throughout. A big thank you to our waiter, Stan, who was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of. We’d also like to give a special shoutout to Sis Winnie we’re not sure if she is the hostess or manager, but she was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always willing to assist wherever she could. Her warmth really stood out and added so much to our experience. Everything was lovely, from the attentive staff to the inviting ambiance. We truly enjoyed our time and will definitely be back!
