Aiko is one of my favourite restaurants in Cape Town. The sushi is absolutely delicious. I was blown away by the vast options on the vegan menu. Such amazing variety and excellent value. The service was great too. Highly recommend!

Cute little restaurant with excellent variety at good value. The vegan menu which goes on for pages is probably the most adventurous I have ever seen, and keeps me coming back for more. In 2025, there is honestly no reason vegetarian offerings should be limited to avocado or cucumber making, fashion sandwiches or California rolls. Aiko set a fantastic example that it can be done well. The only disappointment is ventilation. It’s just better to sit outside if you don’t want to leave smelling of the food - even though inside is much prettier and more comfortable.

Sushi had way too much rice. Sushi was very big and very dense and a bit hard. Some sushi was not made fresh. All you can eat sushi was extremely limiting. Our friends’ 30 piece platter only had 29 pieces with nothing done to rectify it. Service was not great - waitresses who served us were not friendly. Overall not a good experience and wouldn’t recommend.
