    The food at Sec restaurant is truly excellent. I highly recommend the 7 course meal with wine pairing - we've been twice for it now and I look forward to returning for a third time! Also it's in a good location - inside the small boutique hotel Clico Hotel. Also they have a great wine selection and are known for their tequilla cocktails.

    Dreadful. Pretty much all of it. We arrived, having booked in advance, and the restaurant was empty except a loud table of holiday imbued women. They couldn’t give us a good take just in case others came. We asked for some slight modulations - salad instead of chips for instance - and it was always the chef couldn't do this, the chef couldn’t do that. So we asked to speak to the chef, and in fact, after waiting for this well reviewed chef, he didn’t exist. A Friday night and he had gone home. The food was meh. The service was sweet but had no training or power to perform. This is a totally ridiculous restaurant. I don’t think they calculated the bill right, but I just paid it. Big giant pass. Do yourself a favor. Go to one of Johannesburg’s fabulous places.

    We had a great experience. The food was excellent: flavourful and very well-prepared. Service was very attentive and accommodating.

    Absolutely loved our dinner here. Chef Dario presented us with a tasting menu of amazing dishes, and the duck breast, prawn and venison dishes were absolute standouts.

    A very disappointing experience. Despite the website saying they do a tasting menu, that's not offered any longer. The meal we had was not up to scratch for what it's billed as or priced at.
