Our restaurant is designed on the Japanese style of “izakaya” which introduces the customer to a variety of dishes & snacks to accompany alcoholic drinks served to encourage sharing.

    The sushi and wine pairing is well portioned (6 wines & sushi) The dumplings and fried korean chicken delicous and also good sized portion. Value for money.

    The manager on duty and our waitress were very helpful in assisting us with what we needed done to ensure a successful surprise party for my daughter. The food was great as well.

    Absolutely horrendous experience at Du Vin Restaurant, Kanu Wine Farm on Freedom Day, 27 April 2025. As a mixed-race couple (I am white, my husband is coloured), we were subjected to blatant racial discrimination, shocking service, poor hygiene standards, and outright threats of violence. Basic hygiene was not met: our chopsticks and bowls were placed directly on the dirty table without any side plates or napkins provided. Despite paying our bill in full, we were approached by two white, middle-aged men armed with golf clubs who aggressively threatened us after we raised our concerns about the service. Management failed to intervene — in fact, the manager verbally abused us, telling us to "get the f*** out." A formal complaint has been lodged with the authorities. This establishment should be ashamed to operate in a country like South Africa. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour — we will also be reporting this incident to the Human Rights Commission and relevant tourism authorities. Avoid this venue at all costs if you value safety, respect, basic service, and hygiene.

    What a marvelous time we had, sushi was fresh and so filling. Just a little back ground music would've been a plus, so we don't have to hear the conversations of other guests. But overall excellent experience

    We were there for Easter Sunday. Sushi was super fresh and the pork belly was great too. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine and sushi pairing, while watching the kids play and find Easter eggs. Service was great, I cant fault anything, overall we had a very good day and will definitely be back.
