One of the highlights of Hotel Sky Sandton, our beautiful Eclipse Restaurant is a must-see. Located on the fifth floor of our establishment, the delicious Eclipse menu is complimented by unparalleled views of Sandton. Eclipse offers elegant dining and can seat up to 240 people and includes an amazing bar area and an open terrace.

The restaurant is open to both hotel guests and visitors, and offers a’la carte dinners with live entertainment on select evenings. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.

Eclipse is open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 12h00 and Friday and Saturday from 18h00.

    The starter came after the main meal. The food was cold and not cooked to perfection. When we addressed the waiter she was blaming the chefs The waiter had an attitude, we were receiving our drinks very late. Drinks were coming 30 minutes after we have ordered. We ordered short in celebration of my husband’s birthday but it came after an hour and after we had to ask for it for so many times. I was so disappointed because I wanted my husbands day to be special. It was so horrible because of the service and food and they didn’t value our presence because when you ask for another waiter they will call the same one. It was a waste of money.

On behalf of the entire Food & Beverage team at Hotel Sky Sandton, I would like to sincerely apologize for the service and meal standards you encountered during your visit. What you described is far from the level of hospitality we are committed to delivering, especially on such a special occasion as your husband’s birthday. I am deeply concerned to hear that your starter arrived after your main meal, that the food was cold and not prepared to standard, and that our team did not take proper ownership when the issue was raised. Additionally, the delays in receiving your drinks — particularly the celebratory shots — and the attitude you experienced from the waiter are completely unacceptable. You should never have had to follow up repeatedly for items you ordered, nor should you have felt undervalued or ignored. Please be assured that I have already addressed these matters with both our kitchen and service teams to ensure immediate corrective action. This includes refresher training on service etiquette, proper communication between front-of-house and kitchen, and improved checks to ensure food and beverage quality and timing meet our standards. Your feedback is invaluable, and we would truly appreciate the opportunity to restore your confidence in us. If you are open to it, I would like to personally host you and your husband for a complimentary dining experience so we can provide the level of service you should have received from the start. Once again, I am truly sorry for the disappointment caused on such an important day. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I hope we can welcome you back for a far better experience.     I enjoyed everything but their food was off. Seafood was just dry. The food & drinks really threw me off.

    Overall, a very disappointing experience. The food was well below average for those prices, and it completely ruined what was meant to be a special birthday celebration. We chose this restaurant based on the menu advertised on their website, only to find a completely different menu when we arrived—very misleading. While the dishes look fancy on their social media, the food was dry and bland. We had food poisoning the next few hours of eating here. For the cost and the hype, it was a letdown. We won’t be returning.
