Owned and run by husband and wife team Alex & Eloise Windebank, the couple have restored a historic Victorian terraced house in Cape Town's Gardens neighbourhood to home their restaurant.     Exceptional food, cocktails, wine and service. Not a cheap dinner, but good value for what you get. Every course was delicious, we preferred the set menu to recent meals at Pier, Foxcroft, and Salsify, which are all more expensive. The space is simple and well appointed, with interesting art on the walls. The staff are friendly and attentive. The owners run the place and everything is handled with extremely high level of care and appreciation. We will be back every few months.

    A truly exceptional spot - the food, the ambience. the warmth and passion that radiated from the team …. We celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary there, and so appreciated the special, personal touches - a handwritten poem on our table for us, the menu printed especially for us with an anniversary wish… And absolutely LOVED their wine by the glass policy - meant we could try a variety of beautiful wines without committing to a bottle. Such a special spot - highly recommend, don’t miss this one!

    We felt very welcome. A very good menu - good price/quality. Perfect, friendly and warm service. Nice wines. Wines/glass are a little bit expensive. A hidden little gem. Congrats to the team!
