    The Owner/Manager, I am writing to express our disappointment with our recent dining experience at The Fire Room Castle Gate. We had reserved a table for my father's 77th birthday, and initially, the reservation was handled professionally. Our table request was accommodated, and our waiter, Linda, was polite. However, the service deteriorated from there. Linda seemed reluctant to take our drink order and lacked knowledge about the menu, including incorrectly identifying Hoegaarden. He didn't introduce himself or offer to explain the menu. When ordering, we discovered several dishes were out of stock, including beef fillet and mashed potato with oxtail, without any suitable alternatives offered. No senior staff member intervened to assist. The food arrived with issues: cold ribs and oxtail, and an undercooked sirloin steak. We had to request dessert menus ourselves, and even then, some items were out of stock. Desserts and coffee arrived separately despite our request for them to come together. Given the premium nature of your establishment, we expected a higher standard. While we don't blame Linda, it's clear he lacked training and motivation. Paying full price for subpar service and food was disappointing. We hope you'll address these issues to improve future experiences. Niel van antwerpen

    There was so much rice around the sushi that we could barely taste the prawns / salmon / other ingredients. Additionally, we were disappointed to find that the "On Fire Crunchy Tuna Sushi" was made with canned tuna.
