Muratie is as old as history itself, lying at the foot of the Simonsberg with a view of Table Mountain, guarded over by ancient oak trees you will find this old 'ruin' a treasure to be enjoyed. The old fermentation tanks in the cellar with their tartaric encrusted walls, old carpets, wooden furniture and original art is where you will enjoy honest home food, good wine and great company.

NB: Muratie Wine Estate restaurant is only open from Wednesday to Sunday however our wine tasting is open Monday to Tuesday.

    Beautiful venue ambiance and service average however the food was not up to standard curry afval was too sour and meat was cooked tasted like mince appearance was not good at all the carrots was dry and hard sugar coated beetroot was watery lots of vinegar. Would really like to visit again but the food put me off.

    We visited Muratie Wine Estate yesterday and had a fantastic experience. The estate offers stunning views and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Our table enjoyed the crispy rolled pork belly, creamy mussel pasta, and the cheese & charcuterie board — all absolutely delicious. We finished with dessert, which was just as impressive. The wines were excellent, and the service was outstanding. A truly memorable outing — highly recommended!

    Service was slow. Spinach in cannelloni meal was sandy. Onions served with was very strong.

    Disappointing pork belly meal. Meat was tough and dry. Tasted like yesterday’s which had been warmed up. Garden vegetables consisted of mainly roasted peppers and half cooked onion. Mash and mustard sauce were tasty. Great service, wine and ambiance made up for the disappointing dining experience.
