    Would not recommend. My partner and I opted for the four-course tasting menu at ZAR 595 per person with wine pairing, which initially seemed like great value for money. The food itself was tasty - we particularly enjoyed the oysters and prawns. However, all steaks are basted in a “home sauce” that isn’t described on the menu. In reality, it’s essentially a BBQ sauce, which in our opinion overpowered the flavour of what would otherwise have been a lovely steak. If you’re not a fan of BBQ sauce, this is probably not the place for you. The wine glasses were exceptionally small - understandable for a pairing, but these were noticeably tiny. Service was also disappointing. Our server was slow and often brought the food before the wine pairing, with no explanation of the wines. He also forgot to bring our dessert, which we had to remind him about, and when he finally came over at the end, he was listening to football on his phone. The restaurant’s photos suggest a quiet, upmarket atmosphere, but during our visit there was a table of around 30 men who were extremely loud, which detracted from the experience. Overall, while the food was good, the service and atmosphere did not justify the experience

    We previously loved this restaurant. I admit that the service and staff remain impeccable. However, it has become unnecessarily overpriced. A bottle of wine that is readily available from any supermarket is marked up at least 400 times in the restaurant. The food has lost its touch. We ordered a portion of lamb chops, which was overdone. Unfortunately it was the last available portion available. The manager made an effort to get another portion from the sister restaurant but it was thawed right on the grill without proper defrosting. We were sick after eating it. The restaurant did not charge us for the meal which was appreciated. The seafood platter was good but almost doubled in price since our last visit.

    Farai our waiter was absolutely brilliant, caring for us . Food was excellent, steaks amazing. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
