Your Hosts - Matteo Santini & Maurizio Carlo. These Two where born and raised in Italy. Matteo In the Beautiful Bolognia and Maurizio in Fiery Florence. They have both Traveled the world for the past 10 years and Finally decided to Settle in our beautiful Cape Town. Together have taken over THE WOODLANDS EATERY as of the 01 June 2017.

They strive to incorporate authentic Italian cuisine combined with the delicious existing local flavors. We welcome you into their home and hope that you enjoy and feel part of the famiglia

    Excellent food - interesting authentic Italian cuisine, well prepared and sufficient as a single dish. Good service.

    A great experience all round from the welcome on arrival until the goodbye on leaving.

    Sorry for my underwhelming review. Just thought the place needed a bit of an update. The toilet with just a hook and a noisy hand dryer very close to diners was not good. Our main waiter was good but the ‘clearers’ were not particularly welcoming unfortunately. And I’m afraid the salmon whisky tagliatelle was very bland. Sorry

Regarding the toilet, unfortunately your table was the closest in the restaurant to the toilet's corridor, apologies if other patrons distrurbed you with the hand drier noise. We will look into the staff point you have mentioned in order to improve as well as the Tagliatelle al Salmone. Ciao
