Very good food, but service not professional and not friendly enough. Drinks arriving too late and only one after the other, Coacktail even arrived after the starter. Bread and starter arrived at the same time so that one could actually not really enjoy the bread. Nobody checked if glasses were empty after a while to ask for another drink. Simply a lack of care. The staff was rarely smiling. Mistakes happened. Very inadequate was a gesture to hand an empty plate during conversation - I actually expect the waiter to calmly come around and not let the guests work. Further more: Lack of management attention. It is no of no worth when we indicate to management, that there are issues, but no further investigation follows by asking WHAT is bothering us. We miss the times when the service at 101mead was meeting expectations.

Our waiter definitely had the right attitude, but maybe just needed some more training. Food, atmosphere was excellent.

We're regulars at 101 and genuinely love it — the food is consistently excellent and it's usually a seamless experience. Easter Sunday was, unfortunately, a different story altogether. Service felt disjointed from the start. Bread arrived at the table without a word — placed down and walked away from — service was cold, clinical and duty bound. Getting the bill required multiple attempts. It seemed like much of the floor staff were new, and it showed. No warmth, familiarity no engagement, none of the touches that usually make a meal there feel rounded off. What struck me most was realising how much service shapes the overall experience. The food was good, but when the hospitality falls flat, it pulls everything else down with it. We left deflated — not the feeling you want after a meal you were looking forward to. We'll go back — because we know what 101 is capable of — but it was a disappointing evening on what should have been a special occasion.
