3 KITCH3NS is a vibrant, colourful restaurant and bar, based at the beautiful Silver Forest found at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain surrounded by trees.

As the name suggests, there are 3 Kitch3ns - Sushi, Pizza and Grill.

Breakfast is a treat and served every day with a FREE Mimosa or orange juice for all breakfast lovers.

Our sushi is gourmet and beautifully styled, from well-known classics to unique signature plates. We also have rice-FREE sushi creations for the carb conscious.

Our pizzas are “ The Best in Town”, according to some reviews, and made in the Napoli style; hand-stretched and wood-fired. With interesting ingredient combinations, from the Brunchy to the Winelands Pizza, there is something for everyone.

The Grill Kitchen serves aged steaks, a range of seafood, sandwiches, burgers, salads and pasta dishes.

Overall, 3 Kitch3ns gives everyone something to enjoy.

We always have 2 kitchens open and from Thursday to Sunday all 3 Kitchens are open.

Thank you Bazil & Siya for helping us setting up our James Bond theme. It was a night to remember. The service was excellent, the ambience welcoming & cozy. Every moment of Greg's 60 + 1 birthday celebration was enjoyable to all. Thank you Bazil & Team @ Silver Forrest Hotel & Spa. You are the best! Kind regards Greg & Daleen Booysen

The risotto starter was great, as were the main meals of kingklip and beef bourguinon. The pulled pork croquettes were rather bland. We couldn't have a pina colada cocktail because the blender was broken. We ordered 3 cocktails, one of which only arrived when the starter was served, after numerous requests. The malva pudding was dense/stodgy and cold, and the portion size of the brownie on the small side. The manager said they then pulled the malva because it wasn't right. Yet we still saw plates of it go out afterwards. Our sitting was at 2.30 pm. However, we were not aware that we had to leave at 4 pm. At 3.50pm, the waitress asked if she could bring the bill because, in her words, "she was knocking off at 4". We had the staff packing up around us while we still hadn't had the ice cream served as a replacement for the malva puddings. The bill came with the cocktails at full price despite being told that they were R 55. Bill corrected, and we noted that the tip was included. All good, but when my son went to pay the bill, the waitress was indignant saying to him that we hadn't added a tip, to which my son replied, "look again". I think the service was left wanting with the risotto and main meals saving the day. We left feeling like an inconvenience.

Lovely hidden gem restaurant where we often return for a long and relaxed meal with our little well behaved dog. Excellent pizzas, gorgeous burgers, yummy sushi and lots of other lovely dishes, too. And great cocktails!

The new 3 kitchen experience was unique and I would advise guests that dishes do not come out at the same time if ordering from different kitchens. However, this does offer the opportunity to taste each others dishes if so inclined as all dishes that we had were good and we ordered from all three kitchens. There were very few people there so I would have to say the service was good but this might not be the case if the restaurant was fully booked. I imagine there would be more serving staff on hand if the restaurant was at capacity. Anyhow, it is one place to add to the list. The stairs from the car park, although they have certainly improved are still a bit steep for older clientele (like myself).

    3 KITCH3NS responded on Mon 15 Apr 24:
Thank you Amanda, The waiters do introduce the concept and explain to guests that the different kitchens can not be coordinated with timings as you can imagine when we are busy it is impossible to coordinate 3 kitchens timings for one table and we want clients to appreciate the food as it ready. It is a relaxed casual concept ( bit like a food market but full service in an upmarket environment ) having said that you can still dine formally by choosing each course together or doing the lovely Grill menu only for 3 courses too. Yes staff are rostered as per the busy times and service is always our priority. The Steps if they are a problem you can arrange to park at the Upper small car park closer and only 6 steps down to the restaurant level please feel free to do that next time. It is the challenge on being on our beautiful mountain.
