9th Avenue Waterside is a fine-dining restaurant located in the Durban yacht mole, off the city's picturesque Esplanade. Every feature of the establishment defines its character - from its location in the harbor, to the innovative design and menu and ultimately, to the exceptional dining experience. The intimate setting is complimented by the warmth of the inspired front-of-house team and the kitchen brigade, led by Head Chef, Theodorus Chiloane. Our mission is to inspire people to enjoy and appreciate food and dining, in a new way - from the communities we support producing sustainably farmed food and beverages, to the professionalism and knowledge of our staff, service and hospitality. The upstairs Cocktail Lounge provide the ideal space to de-stress after a busy day, meet with friends or business colleagues or host a private function. 9th Avenue Waterside also offers a variety of spaces for weddings, engagements, business events, product launches and special calendar days.     I had such a great time from the moment I walked in. From the atmosphere, food to my waiter, everything was perfect. More appreciation to the chef and mthokozisi (waiter).

    The only problem we had were exeperienced was that some of the meals had too much salt and spices(seafood pasta, seafood paella, and beef pasta). When we told the manager, she apologised and gladly took the food, than allowed us to order something else. But one must appreciate that eventhough the pasta was salty, it was well cooked, rich and not watery. Overall, the service, security and hospitality was on point👌80%/100%. The remaining 20% is for the restuarant and lounge to ensure that they maintain these standards and remain strict about dresscode, security, excelleny service etc so that the value of the fine dining experience in this establishment doesnot drop!.
