9th Avenue Waterside is a fine-dining restaurant located in the Durban yacht mole, off the city's picturesque Esplanade. Every feature of the establishment defines its character - from its location in the harbor, to the innovative design and menu and ultimately, to the exceptional dining experience. The intimate setting is complimented by the warmth of the inspired front-of-house team and the kitchen brigade, led by Head Chef, Theodorus Chiloane. Our mission is to inspire people to enjoy and appreciate food and dining, in a new way - from the communities we support producing sustainably farmed food and beverages, to the professionalism and knowledge of our staff, service and hospitality. The upstairs Cocktail Lounge provide the ideal space to de-stress after a busy day, meet with friends or business colleagues or host a private function. 9th Avenue Waterside also offers a variety of spaces for weddings, engagements, business events, product launches and special calendar days.     The venue was stunning with decor on point. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food arrived on time and was delicious. Will definitely be visiting again.

    If I could give 6 for service I would, Ntombi went above and beyond she truly made the evening special. Her energy was amazing. Loved her down! From were we were sitting we could hear the ladies from the kitchen there's something about how they spoke and interacted with each other, it was giving siblings and really loved this for them. The food was also good, I mean it was prepared and served by such happy people man ❤️❤️

    I ate my meal on my lap. We were told there were no tables left so we had dinner in the bar and I ate my R350 chicken dish on my lap. Very disappointed. Under new ownership the restaurant has lost its whole essence. Very sad.

    Such a great evening! You know it’s a good one when you’re the last table to leave for the night. Our waitress, Ntombi, was attentive and warm.

    Hi has great time besides that I had a runny tummy immediately after leaving the venue and the price of your ribs and chicken wings are so pricey but less potion 😭💔 chicken Alfredo was everything 🤏

    My friend and I had a warm welcome, the place was exquisite, we took great pictures. I really enjoyed the food, infused with great flavours.
