    Starters - Frozen Oysters, Tempura Prawns in a thick batter. Main Courses - Pork Belly Espetada so overcooked even using a hacksaw would have been difficult, no milho frito as shown on the menu and when asked was advised that staff could not correctly prepare it. Trinchado was a glorified beef stew, slapped on the plate. Absolutely disgusting. We had a 45 minute wait between starters and main. Then the ice-cream came and there was something plastic in it. Oh my word this was meant to be a 60th birthday celebration for my husband. Would not recommend this restaurant at all.

    ABSOLUTE NO SERVICE / ZERO CUSTOMER RELATIONS - I spoke to David (Manager) Sat 6th April at 6.00pm and booked a table for Sun 7th for 1.00pm.. I asked what prawn specials he had , he said he would do 20 prawns for R200.00, we even discussed the side dishes and I confirmed this special at least three times with him. I asked if he will be at the restaurant on Sunday , he said yes. A confirmation booking sms arrived 5 mins after the call. I thought to re confirm the booking Sunday morning as an sms arrived at 9.30am to do a review? I re checked the booking sms - it was for Saturday 1.00pm , David had made an incorrect booking. I called Adega and spoke with Shelley at 11.30am Sun Morning asking to speak with David, she said he wasn't in and would only be in at 2.00pm. I told her the booking date error , she said she would resend it correctly , she did I discussed the special with her - she said it is a Monday only special and she would call David to check and call me back. I also asked her for the owners contact details , she gave me Craig's cell no. I called Craig at 11.40am - no answer. A message said he would get my cell number to call me - no call at all!! Neither David , nor Shelley , nor the owner called me back I hope this is not an indication of their food. I would not recommend this restaurant at all

    Food was cold and just not good - chips were soggy and didn't look fresh - Desert cream was off / sour Sparkling water had expired which was flat We ordered Milho Frito and when our meals came the wrong starch came and we were told the Milho Frito was bad overall the experience was just not pleasant which really surprised us as we have been to Adega Bedfordview on many many occasions and always enjoyed it in the past - would not recommend right now.
