Aegir Project Taproom is a family-friendly restaurant in Noordhoek, Cape Town, with a brewery at its heart.

Since opening our doors in 2015 as a small, passion-fuelled brewery obsessed with pushing the boundaries on flavour, we’re proud to have grown into the kind of welcoming home-away-from-home where locals and visitors alike can sit down and have a laugh over great food and superb beer.

Whether you’re taking in the view of Noordhoek Beach from the sundowner deck with an icy pint in hand, tucking into one of our hand-stretched, Neapolitan-style sourdough pizzas, or sampling our killer coffee while the kids tear through the playground, our aim is to make you feel like family.

    Hi! We had a wonderful time and the food was absolutely delicious. 😊 There is just one bit of feedback I'd like to share. Before our visit, I enquired about disabled parking. When we arrived, there weren't any clearly identifiable disabled parking bays, so we had to drive around for a while looking for one. We eventually found a bay right at the bottom of the courtyard. When we got to the restaurant, we found the bays on top close to the entrance, the only indication that it was a reserved disabled bay was a sign attached to a bin in front of a car already parked there. The person I chatted to on WhatsApp did mention that there was construction taking place, which I completely understand. I was just wondering if, when someone phones ahead to enquire about disabled parking, it might be possible to reserve the accessible bay for them by placing a cone or temporary marker there until they arrive. The driver could simply move it when they get there. I know that won't always be practical, but it may help discourage people without disabled parking permits from using the bay, which I did notice during our visit. Accessible venues can unfortunately be quite difficult to find in Cape Town, so little touches like this really make a big difference for families like ours. Thank you again for the lovely food and the great experience overall. We really enjoyed our visit.
