    The food was impressive and it is value for money. Unfortunately, I had a mishap with the staff whereby I phoned beforehand to confirm if there would be a cakeage fee and they laughed at me for asking the question, saying that I do not need to pay anything for bringing and eating the cake at the restaurant. Then I brought the cake to the restaurant, and they charged me cakeage. When I queried this when them / the manager (as I would not have brought the cake otherwise), she very abruptly and sternly told me that I had to pay for cakeage. I was fine to pay this amount ultimately, but did not appreciate the mannerism from the manager when she approached me; and thay she was already irritated at me before talks started when I was happy to have a reasonable conversation.

    No toilets in the restaurant but apart from that everything excellent

    Aiko is one of my favourite restaurants in Cape Town. The sushi is absolutely delicious. I was blown away by the vast options on the vegan menu. Such amazing variety and excellent value. The service was great too. Highly recommend!
