    My wife and I went to The Cellar at The Plettenberg for our honeymoon last year, and loved it - had a set 7-course course meal, it was great. So I booked again for our anniversary and was told in June that they were in the process of creating a new menu for the cellar. Instead, we got an Amelia's menu, the food was incredibly expensive and terrible. Fish was dry and tasteless, veg was kind of ok, the rice stuff was super stodgy, steak was tasteless. I'm not a fussy eater but man, I would have been upset if I got that at a food fast joint. Felt a bit ill afterwards. Then for breakfast the next day, I couldn't eat the waffle which tasted like cardboard, ended up just having bits and pieces from the buffet like yoghurt and juice, the eggs benedict had balled-up salmon and burned english muffin. Very weird. I told reception that the food really wasn't great before we checked out. Would defs not go back, have to leave a review so they hopefully can't keep getting away with whatever that was, please be warned. Major nerve to charge an arm and a leg for it.

    We love to eat there, just one thing i can not understand Every time i phone for a reservation i am told that they can not accommodate us, but when we go there the restuarant is just about empty, i then ask the waiters about it and they reply they also do not understand why it
