    I feel like if I liked Vietnam food. I was going give it 5 plus. I think they should add more South African food so we have a choice to eat. But all in all. Loved the experience

    I was really disappointed with my recent visit. The chicken lollipop had a strong smell of old chicken and tasted off, and unfortunately the beef in the Pho was the same – not fresh at all. It left me wondering if the restaurant is trying to clear out old stock before updating the menu, but either way, serving food that’s clearly off is unacceptable. That said, I do want to be fair – the service was good and the pork kebab was enjoyable, so credit where it’s due. But the quality of the chicken and beef really needs urgent attention.

We take concerns about food quality and freshness extremely seriously, and we want to assure you that we would never serve outdated product. We use only fresh, high-quality ingredients and have rigorous standards in place. We would like to provide some context, as we believe there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the flavours. The distinct, strong aroma from our chicken lollipops comes from the traditional Asian fish sauce used in our marinade, which is an authentic ingredient but can be surprising if unfamiliar. Similarly, our Pho broth, which is made in-house with a complex blend of spices, sauces, and stocks, creates a potent and unique flavour profile that may not suit every palate. Furthermore, we can confirm that these dishes are permanent fixtures on our menu and we are committed to serving them at their absolute freshest. Your comment about "clearing out old stock" is certainly not our practice. We are, however, very pleased to know that you enjoyed the pork kebab and received good service from our team.     It was our first time at Annam and we enjoyed it thoroughly! The food and service were amazing. And very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!
