The wonderful story of Bacini’s rich heritage began back in 1989 when the first branch was opened up in Rosebank, Johannesburg.

Owner, Raimondo Napoli, has been tossing pizza since day one, and is the real driving force behind the success of this slice of paradise, with his father, Bernado Napoli as his source of inspiration from the very beginning.

Bacini's has entered a new phase and is now offering its patrons an online solution for their delicious products.

    We were a party of 14! A waitron’s nightmare!… and everything was perfect! Not one glitch. We could hear each other, so though delightfully vibey, the restaurant wasn’t too loud. The pizzas were absolutely delicious and the whiskey Don Pedros would impress most Scotsmen. Thank you for a wonderful evening. (I would love to mention our fantastic waitron by name, but I can’t remember it! He was great!)

    Always good food. Gets quite loud when it’s busy, which gets a bit tricky to chat.

    We had a very happy evening at Bacini's on Friday. Great value for money, delicious pizzas, and superb service. Lots of fun and laughter over excellent food and great wines. So happy that some things never change - Bacini's never disappoints!

    Been visiting Bacini for years. My favorite restaurant in CT. Very disappointed last night. The menu has changed for the worse and Bacini has become exorbitantly more expensive.R190 for a salad and R240 for a vegetarian pasta . Something isn’t right. Why they would change what was a winning formula boggles my mind.

That said, we do want to be transparent: each time you visit Bacini’s, there tends to be a complaint — whether about the menu, the prices, or the dishes served. This time, you specifically asked for a pasta similar to the mascarpone and roasted cherry tomato, which is no longer on the menu. Based on your request, we recommended the Vodka Burrata Rigatoni — a tomato-based, creamy dish that's one of our most-loved pastas. In fact, over 12 portions were ordered that same evening. The reason for its pricing is due to the high-quality ingredients we use, including fresh burrata, which is not a cheap ingredient. We’ve recently updated our menu to reflect a fresh and seasonal approach to Italian cooking — something we’re really proud of. We understand change isn’t always easy, but our direction is intentional and rooted in quality. If our new style or approach no longer aligns with what you’re looking for in a dining experience, we completely understand — and it might be worth exploring other options that suit your preferences better.
