The service was mundane compared to other places we've been to. Waiters could be given proper formal wear and could be a bit more hospitable. The food was amazing. The Karen Fillet and Lamb shank were cooked to perfection. We really liked the way the vegetables were done too. The restaurant is gorgeous but lacks the ambiance needed to make it a great dining experience. With all the empty space peoples conversations echo throughout the place. Better and louder music or even a live performance would have taken the experience over the top. I would definitely go back for the food. But when dining out for me the next thing I want to tick off is a good atmosphere. Because, What's the point of dining out if it doesn't feel special?

We enjoyed a birthday breakfast as a family (6 members) with my wife. First the tea that was served was cold, then when the flapjacks arrived one was raw/underdone. The scrambled eggs was also done in some oil that tasted fishy. White toast was ordered, brown was delivered. All these issues were discussed with the waiter as the floor manager did not visit us as far as I know. Please this is the first time that this standard was served and we are not used to it.

Seafood platter was superb. The hake was done to crispy perfection with a tender, moist centre. Prawns and calamari were grilled without fault. The vegan curry was exceptional, well spiced and transcending more to taste rather than heat. The deconstructed creme brulee was unexpected, but well worth a try.

I wasn't even served drinks or food so how can i review it? The waiter (Female) bad no energy and no ambition. She was not friendly or angry, she was just floating around. After calling her to be seated, we had to call her again to bring our menu, she didn't even bring a drinks menu. After 30min of waiting to place a simple order, literally 30min (because i timed her) we stood up and just left, don't even think any one noticed until closing time, "where they found 2 menu's lying on a unserved table". Bahia Blue spoiled a really important milestone that we wanted to celebrate last night, "never again". I was the one telling my companion that this place is top notch, so I'm the one who looked like a fool, i can't get yesterday back, But i promise i would go out of my way not to make use of their services when we are having our year end function or when ever our department is having a team building event.
