The Bailey is located at 91 Bree Street in the heart of the Mother City, Cape Town. Set in a historic building , the Bailey is designed in the classic tradition and inspired by some of the grand all-day cafés and restaurants of Europe.
The Bailey is a collaboration between Liam and Jan Tomlin, and the owners of Tintswalo Lodges (Lisa and Warwick Goosen, and Gaye and Ernest Corbett).
Tomlin continues his culinary magic at this new address, with Executive Chef Asher Abramowits assisted by Mitchell Du Plessis and Ruben Brown as Head Chefs and San-Marie Pienaar as Head Pastry Chef
Chefs Warehouse - Tapas
Liam Tomlin’s Chefs Warehouse is back in Bree Street, now on the ground floor of The Bailey. Expect old favourites such as Salt & pepper squid with chilli, pineapple and caramelised ginger; Vietnamese rice paper rolls; and the signature Risotto dish, as well as some exciting new dishes.
The á la carte menu invites diners to order individual plates from the tapas menu of vegetarian, vegan and meat dishes, as well as fish dishes prepared at the open seafood bar.
The Bailey Brasserie
Introducing an authentic Parisian Brasserie. Situated on the first floor, the Brasserie features a menu of iconic continental dishes based on classic French recipes and methods complimented by a superb wine list.
The Brasserie is open for dinner bookings, with service coordinated by the maître d’; who’s team add an element of hospitality theatre to a contemporary dining experience.
The Old Bailey
The Old Bailey Whiskey Bar with its outdoor terrace is evocative of top-end members’ clubs and bars in London and New York. Stylish table service offers an extensive whiskey collection, premium wines and cocktails are served in a sophisticated space.
