Banana Jam Cafe opened in 1999 as a small 45 seater restaurant in the parking lot by Kenilworth station, serving traditional Caribbean food along side burgers and pizza.

In 2010 we moved across the road and expanded to a 200 seater restaurant. With the same Caribbean feel as before we now boast a beautiful garden, an open plan interior with our famous Rum bar, 30 beers on tap and one of the best brew pubs in Cape Town.

    We love coming there all the way from the Nothern suburbs. We have been twice within 4 weeks. We love the place.

    Continues to be a great place to go to celebrate with friends or just a good meal out. Always a good 'vibe' with friendly and knowledgeable waitrons. Their menu makes it difficult to pick out only one choice, can definitely recommend the grilled poppers, nachos, baby calamari, burgers, jerk chicken pasta....it is all simply delicious!
