Join us every Wednesday and Saturday for a heart-warming Cape Malay curry experience! A Taste of Spice brings together aromatic curries, flavourful sambals, and traditional sides. Designed to be enjoyed as a sharing platter, it’s the perfect way to savour soulful flavours in the cosy, fireside setting of Camps Bay Retreat. Our Taste of Spice evenings will run throughout the winter season.

    What a treat! Just note of the times for lunch and dinner, since I grabbed a reservation for 17:00, but the kitchen only really opens at 18:00/19:00, and until then you have to make do with some cocktails and a limited snack menu. Still, the location alone makes it a worthwhile wait. Definitely a place to take some people you want to impress or just spoil.

    The view is absolutely stunning, the food was good, but the seafood was overcooked, and the prawns chewy. The dessert was amazing but the portion ridiculously small. The service wasn't great, considering that there were only 3 tables to serve, I shouldn't have had to wait for almost 10 minutes to finally get a drink.

    We were so looking forward to our meal there with our niece and husband from Dubai. We were sorely disappointed. We arrived and were ignored by the front of house although we had a reservation. The view is amazing but the rest sadly did not meet our expectations. The food was mediocre.

    Our table was not cleaned before we got food and drinks, very slow and not attentive service at all, unfriendly water.
