Welcome to The Bistro & Tasting Room at Brookdale Estate!

Ours is a true Cinderella tale … What was once a forgotten vineyard, overgrown and underused, is now a significant site for exceptional wines, creative cuisine, and abundant beauty.

Here, delicious menus designed by seasoned Executive Chef, Gary Coetzee, are brought together with wines grown on the surrounding vines and vinified by winemaker, Kiara Scott Farmer.

We have selected a blend of varietals for our vineyards and locally-sourced ingredients for our menus that honour the region, whilst showcasing new ideas, combinations and techniques.

Sip, taste, savour and discuss our minimalistic, terroir-driven wines which accompany dishes inspired by international flavours and local produce.

The Bistro at Brookdale promises a relaxed, contemporary Cape Winelands dining experience. Expect beautiful, soulful dishes, enjoyed with our wines, while at the Tasting Room, you will sample the latest terroir-driven vintages from our cellar made in ever-evolving styles.

    Mr Fox gave us amazing table side service. It was great that the chef came out ans said hello. The food was excellent. Most beautiful views from here. Thank you for a memorable evening

    The whole experience from start to finish was wonderfully relaxing. Our host who greeted us, waiting staff and everybody at Brookdale were so welcoming, knowledgeable and attentive whilst we visited. Our food was exceptional, there wasn’t one dish on the menu I wouldn’t have like to try, very well put together, I highly recommend the snicker dessert and the pork. Both very more- ish! My personal highlight was the head chef talking to each table in the restaurant after a busy service, great to be able to compliment him on his menu and to see happy faces everywhere Brookdale wines speak for themselves, you always want to finish the bottle which pair superbly with the menu in the restaurant. I will absolutely return next year. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience

    By far the best food in Paarl! One of the best Mushroom risotto’s I’ve ever had. Will be back before leaving SA.

    Perfect diner, perfect place, perfect chef an perfect staf. If this restaurant was in my hometown we would kom every week. And lunch Here at also every sunday . We are real foodies, so we know what good food is. Chef Gary has it all
