    Winemaker for a Day @ Café du Vin, Franschhoek This was one of the most fun and memorable wine experiences we’ve had in Franschhoek! Winemaker for a Day at Café du Vin offers a perfect mix of creativity, learning, and great wine—all led by the fantastic host, Ricardo. His passion for winemaking and easygoing style set the tone for a relaxed but engaging afternoon. The highlight is getting to make your own wine blend from a selection of single varietals. You taste, experiment, and adjust until you find your perfect mix—then bottle, cork, and label it yourself. It’s incredibly satisfying to walk away with a unique wine you created. To wrap things up, Ricardo pours his own secret blend—“Blend X”—and challenges everyone to guess the components. It’s a great way to test your palate and end the session on a playful note. If you’re in Franschhoek and looking for something hands-on and personal, this is it.
