    Had to wait a long time to find out the crab was off and then has to wait another hour for another option. The steak war horrible and the fish was horrible. Only good thing was a friendly waiter.

    Was really disappointed last night! Reservation wasn’t done,took 25 minutes for drinks, food came in dribs & drabs, my daughter’s chicken schnitzel wasn’t cooked properly and we were nearly late for our show! Won’t be back in a hurry.

    I hosted my team-end lunch at Calisto's on 4 December 2025. I was requested to pay a deposit which I gladly obliged. On the day, the starter giblets were bland and flavorless, the rump steak was very over-cooked, but the seafood was delicious (although the plating was poor as some had prawns, some had mussels, some had crab, but no one had a combination of everything). Drinks menu was very limited, they didn't even have sugar free tonic. Set up is boring and the restaurant has no vibe or personality. When settling the bill, they couldn't find my deposit and that became quite a production. Overall, it was a miss. Pity because I love the Calisto's in Turfontein and Gold Reef City.
