    The food @ Carne on Kloof was very enjoyable indeed. The service was excellent. The ambience however was not enjoyable. Four young women shouted and laughed loudly for the ENTIRE TIME that my friend and I were in the restaurant. Their behaviour was disgraceful. They were able to behave as they did because management was completely AWOL. Why should four persons be allowed to ruin the experience of other diners? What is also necessary is for management to invest in good quality noise mitigation so that diners can enjoy a calm adult environment.

    Carne in Kloof street is an expensive restaurant, and even though the service was great, the food was not up to standard. The ravioli, which I was looking forward to, was not available. The fried potatoes, which i ordered as a side dish, were not cooked well, so instead I was given fries. The burgers were okay, but the steak was super chewy, and could not be eaten. When we complained, the chef came to address the issue, and decided not to bill us for it. So all in all, we were disappointed and would not go back anytime soon.
